Context
Gare et Connexion is an application that centralizes practical information for French train stations. The app needed a fresh approach to better meet users’ needs. At Source, I worked on its redesign to propose a new concept and introduce high-value features for travelers.
I contributed to the very first redesign concept, focused on convenience in the station: the app becomes a true assistant for users. The design work was based on research and strategy defined by Singulier, a strategic design agency.
Core features
The app’s concept is primarily inspired by the signage and panels found in SNCF train stations. The user experience begins with checking the departure and arrival boards, then continues with other practical services depending on the time available. In this way, the app becomes a natural extension of the station experience, putting everything conveniently in one place.
Evolution of the Project
The app has since been developed and expanded by the internal teams. The original concept is still visible in the latest versions.
